I watched the first-ever partner agency led by a female team completely disintegrate by the end of Q1 - its founders forced to close up and move on.
The big news in social this week is that TikTok negotiations indicate the platform is here to stay.
ByteDance issued a statement that they would follow the laws to keep the app in the US and thanked both the US and Chinese presidents.
Just tonight, Trump said that the Murdochs are likely part of the deal. The Murdochs are the family that control FOX News, Wall Street Journal, and The New York Post.

Despite the politics of it all — for advertisers and brands, this will bring stability and renewed strategies for investing on the platform.
For creators and small businesses who maintain their audiences on TikTok, a big sigh of relief.
It’s a reminder that these tools are powerful. Media and Influence are powerful. And we should all be using our voices.
For me… I am most excited about seeing the development of social commerce on the app, with the renewed certainty that it is here to stay.
TikTok Shop has created a really special shopping experience, and as a retail business-nerd, I want to be at the forefront of how and why people buy.

This trend is a sign of our ability to overcome challenges. Wow, this year has gone by so fast! A lot of things happened that we may never have believed possible. In our own lives, in our communities, and in the world. It's been a lot.
This is our way of stopping, looking back, and saying thank you to ourselves. It's about celebrating the fact that we survived to this point. It's a way of congratulating yourself on your past achievements and recognising the strength you didn't realise you had.
The format is quite simple. By comparing a clip from "last year" or "earlier this year" to one from "now," we tell a story of perseverance. It's not always about achieving huge success; sometimes, it's just about getting through it. And that is always worth honoring.
