TikTok Trends: October 2025
Let’s talk about something that many of us who have been in the industry for a while have been feeling.
Social media platform fatigue.
In the first half of 2025, Instagram has a 0.45% average engagement rate, scoring a 24.1% decrease YoY according to Social Insider.
So if it feels like your engagement is down, it is.
And it’s not necessarily your fault.
This stat shows us that it’s cultural.
It’s bigger.
Does that mean brands and creators should abandon ship?
No, social media isn’t going anywhere.
In fact, social media daily usage is up from 2 hours 4 minutes in 2020, to 2 hours 41 minutes in 2025.
It’s still the most accessible way to completely change your life or build your brand.
But this shift should have you thinking about WHAT you are posting, and how you want to keep your audience enjoying your content.
More and more of my clients are interested in shifting strategy to account for this change.
Posting less, but deeper, more thoughtful strategies.
You cannot and should not - just throw up trends and call it a day.
(Yes - I deliver them to you weekly - but please remember this should be an entry point - not the whole pie of what you offer!)
The other critical service we do for our clients is detailed performance analysis, and we use benchmarks to inform our strategy.
Benchmarks are the platform averages that tell us if we are in line, beating or below the average.
And the numbers can give you so much information about where to go right and wrong.
The problem is, Meta and TikTok do not provide these benchmarks.
So, third party posting companies do large samples of hundreds of thousands of accounts to get the data.
I found Social Insider’s report highlights really interesting:
Reels drive more comments for all the other page sizes.
Carousels are getting the highest number of saves.
Reels bring more impressions for small-to-middle-sized accounts (with less than 50K followers), whereas for bigger pages, Carousels are more effective.
The smallest accounts (below 5K followers) have a 20% view rate on their Reels.
Instagram Reels from small accounts get on average 300 views per video, while the largest profiles get on average 15K views per Reel.
Brand posts, on average, 20 posts per month, among which half of them consist of images.
The smallest accounts (under 5k) can grow their followers up to 38% YoY.

As we go into the last stretch of the year, is your strategy tightened up - or do you need to make adjustments?
On to the prompt!
There's a new TikTok trend using the song "Go Go Juice" by Sabrina Carpenter, and it's perfect for making something simple, fast, funny, and super relatable.
Here's what you need to do:
In your video, you add an overlay text that starts with:
“Ain’t nobody safe when…”
Then, fill in the blank with a moment when you're not at your best, or when things get a little chaotic.
The song you need to use says:
"I'm just drinking to call someone, ain't nobody's safe when I'm a little bit drunk"
That's it. It's quick, easy, and it'll definitely connect with your audience.
Some starters for moms and content creators:
Ain’t nobody safe when my coffee goes cold before I finish it.
Ain’t nobody safe when I accidentally drop my matcha
Ain’t nobody safe when bedtime takes two hours.
Ain’t nobody safe when Canva crashes mid-design.
Ain’t nobody safe when the WiFi fails during a brand meeting.
Ain’t nobody safe when nap time doesn’t happen.
Ain’t nobody safe when I’m editing with 1% battery left.
Examples: Getting ready, Coping, Outfit, Stressed, Sleepy, IG audio.
