TikTok Trends August-2025

“Post like your career depends on it.”

“Post like your career depends on it.”

“Post like your career depends on it.”

This was a quote I saw this morning from one of my favorite social media directors on the internet, Samantha Yehle of Frida.

It resonates because she’s right - it does.

The estimated worth of the creator economy in 2025 is $104.2 billion.

And it’s expected to DOUBLE in two years.

The world has 207 million content creators globally, and only about 20% have 10k - 100k followers.

Brands like DICKS, Nike, Lowes, now have massive creator programs that blend with their retail employees. You could be working for DICKS selling kayaks, and also making TikToks on your downtime.

(It’s the dream I’ve always had as a retail and content nerd!!)

THIS IS MODERN BUSINESS.

Recently on one of our ACN Luck Circle conversations, we talked about the why behind showing up on the internet.

Is it because you want to make extra income?

Do you want a full-time career?

Do you want to finally be the star, famous, and loved by the masses?

Whatever that goal is, it’s time to stop telling yourself the time you are spending isn’t worth It.

The mix of storytelling, pr, advertising and video creation skills you are learning are incredibly valuable.

Every piece of work you put into it is learning in real time.

So before you get into trends today, reconnect to your why.

What do you believe is the best possible outcome for you?

Own It. Take every step forward. And don’t look back :)

I Forgot That You Existed

While everyone's talking about Taylor Swift upcoming album "The Life of a Showgirl", something funny's happening with one of her old songs. The sassy line, "I forgot that you existed," from her 2019 song of the same name, is suddenly trending as an audio on social media.

We've all had that moment when we're minding our business and suddenly remember something we've been avoiding.

Maybe it's:

  • Your ex texting after months of silence

  • That bill you keep pretending isn't due

  • Your untouched gym membership

  • Work you swore you'd do "later"

People are using the song by filming themselves chilling, then cutting to a fake-surprised look when the lyric hits. It's funny because we don't actually forget...we just pretend we do.

The trend also shows how T'Swift music stays relevant years later. Even with new Showgirl hype, fans keep finding fresh ways to use her old songs.

Examples: Jokes on you, Task, Kitty, Period, IUD, Karma, Tampons, IG audio.
