TikTok Trends November 2025
Hey friend,
I've been doing a lot of thinking about what actually moves the needle on social media. And after working with my team on our 2026 strategy, I've landed on four types of content that I believe will make the biggest impact this year.
Storytelling
This is where you pull people in with a hook they can't scroll past. It's the "let me tell you about the time..." content. The kind that makes someone stop, read, and feel something. Real stories, real moments, real you.
Social Selling
Yes, we're all here to make money (or at least some of us are). This is your educational content that naturally leads to an offer. It's not sleazy. It's not pushy. It's helpful content that happens to have a solution at the end of it.
Shareable
You know that content that makes you immediately tag three friends? That's this. It's relatable, it's funny, it's the "OH MY GOD THIS IS SO ME" energy. This is what gets your content in front of new people without you having to do anything.
Community Building
I talked about this in last week’s SLS. This content Invites your audience Into the content creation process with you. It’s sharing the spotlight and the mic. It's not fancy, but it creates connection.
While I think building these tactics into your strategy will make you stronger at social media, you don't have to do all four of these.
Actually, I've found that algorithms get real confused when you try to be everything at once. Your audience does too, honestly.
Instead, pick the ONE that feels most natural to you.
Are you a natural storyteller? Lean into that. Do you light up when you're teaching? Focus on social selling. Does making people laugh or say "SAME" give you life? Shareable content is your lane. Love building genuine connections? Community building is calling your name.
The best content strategy isn't the one that checks all the boxes. It's the one you'll actually stick with.
So tell me—which feels like your zone of genius?
xo,
Lindsay
P.S. If you're sitting here thinking "but what if I want to do TWO of these?"—totally valid! Just make sure one is your primary focus and the other is secondary. Think 80/20 split.
Sure, You Can…
This trend is a silly little way for creators to share a spicy opinion without sounding like they're preaching.
The formula is always the same. You start with “Sure, you can…” and call out a common but questionable choice in your industry.
Then, you hit ‘em with the comparison: “You can also…” and name something from a totally different world that everyone knows is a bad idea.
You finish with the punchline: “I don’t recommend either.”
You’re basically saying, “This thing in my field is just as questionable as that universally understood red flag.” It’s a quick, clever way to make your point.
Think:
“Sure, you can use your ‘nephew with canva’ to manage your socials… you can also perform your own dental work with pliers. I don’t recommend either.”
To make your own, just grab a simple clip of yourself, making coffee, walking down the street, whatever feels authentic. Throw the text on screen, keep it short, and let the joke do the work. It’s a fast, funny, and genuinely watchable way to share what you really think.
Examples: Calm your mind, Bleach, Build a house, Clean, Wait.
