TikTok Trends November 2025
When I started on social media to build my first real account, I wasn’t focused on my own story.
I was focused on building a community.
It’s still my favorite kind of social media strategy.
But I don’t talk about what it takes — those key tactics —- enough here on Silly Little Social.
The concepts are employed by some of my favorite accounts in the game like Chelsea Explains It All, Not Safe For Mom Group, and even Mr Beast.
So what is the key component of community building on social media?
Let me explain by sharing this A+ lesson in community building from a real conversation with my 6-year-old:
Jake: Mommy I want to subscribe to someone on YouTube. Can I?
Me: Who?
Jake: Mr. Beast.
Me: Why do you want to do that honey?
Jake: So I can be in his video.
Jake: He said if you subscribe, you can be in his videos.
Jake: Can I please Mommy? Please?! I want to be in one of his videos!
Me: You can be in one of my videos.
Apparently, being in my Silly Little Social videos isn’t as exciting a prospect… yet!
(But honestly, even as a “Mom Creator,” I never thought to invite him on my own podcast!)
At the most basic level, we want to be included. We want to feel acknowledged and SHARE the spotlight. When we comment, we’re looking to be seen and heard. When we subscribe - we want it to be OUR world, not just the creators.
Community building does this.
When you build community, you invite the audience INTO the content creation process with you.
You can start today, simple.
Asking real life meaningful questions in stories and sharing those responses, starting a dialogue.
That turns into a carousel you can tag those users in next week…To remind them, ‘Hey, I’m your friend.
I see you, I spotlight you.
You’re with me now.
It’s listening, while speaking!
It’s connection, and as you know since Mr. Beast is the highest paid YouTuber…
It’s damn good business.
Silly Little News
This week was all about movies.
First, everyone's talking about the new Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein." I'm seeing so many takes on social media, especially from women who connect with the "monster" character. It's been interesting to watch people discuss why that connection happens. I have also seen men not understanding women's POV or totally disregarding it because Jacob Elordi is a conventionally attractive man. There's a lot to unpack there.
Don't forget- November 21st is the Wicked: For Good movie release. Get ready for your social media feeds to be full of green & pink everything for a while. There are lots of wicked-related audios from the first movie; it might be a good idea to revisit them to ride the wave before the movie drops.
Speaking of Wicked, there was some drama at the Singapore red carpet. Someone rushed toward Ariana Grande, and her co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately stepped in to protect her. People are talking about how crazy it is that fans will do anything for attention, and how celebrities are just people too at the end of the day. Also, Cynthia reacted faster than the actual security! Women protecting women was the biggest take on social.
And finally, the trailer for The Devil Wears Prada sequel was dropped. That first movie is such a classic - everyone's wondering if this new one will be just as good or totally disappoint.
This month has surely been about comebacks, not only about movies but also music-wise, like with Hilary Duff releasing a new song after almost 10 years.
So, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, it looks like we're heading into a very busy and entertaining holiday season. It's kind of cool to see all these major comebacks and new releases giving us so much to talk about on social.
Warming Up For The Holidays
Here’s a social media trend that’s perfect for the busy season: creators are filming themselves "warming up" for the holidays like athletes before a game.
What it looks like in action:
A baker doing arm circles before a long night of holiday cookie decorating.
A mom stretching her arms up high in a messy kitchen, with a text like, "Pre-game stretch before tackling the holiday meal prep."
A photographer/Content creator stretching before a full day of recording.
A small shop owner doing a few quick jumps before packing a mountain of online orders.
Examples: Salons (IG sound), Spa, Nail tech, Hairstylist, Restaurant.
