TikTok Trends: May

When anyone asks me what they should be doing on social media,

I always start with one question.

“What are your goals?”

People forget that social media is a playground that can help you achieve SO MANY things.

But if you’re not clear on what you want…

chances are the algorithm isn’t either!

Are you after more money for your family?

Want to be a lifestyle influencer and grow an engaged audience or community?

Hoping to get your business out there and make sales?

Each of these goals would mean different actions to take.

More money? Start doing UGC or Social Media Management. It’s the quickest way to get money in your pocket.

Lifestyle Influencer? Figure out your compelling story / funny edge / value add. Use Trial Reels or TikTok to meet new people. Find what you can be consistent talking about.

Business? How easy is your profile to understand? Time to sell in stories!

Remember that YOUR social media is for YOU,

there isn’t a one-size fits all approach.

Lately I’m loving how social media fortune is favoring the bold…

Like Oliver, whose sailing story has TikTok captivated.

& brands got creative to become a part of his experience.

This is the social we’re living for these days.

Chances are Oliver knew he would have good stories to tell out on the open seas, but never knew he’d get millions of people following his journey.

Come at it with curiosity, a sense of humility, and creativity.

Because nothing you do from that place would ever be a waste.

Lindsay

Propaganda I’m Not Falling For…

Have you ever felt like the world was trying to gaslight you into believing that things that feel wrong to you are actually the only "right" way? Yeah, me too. Today, let's call it out using this trend!

How to :

Use any B-roll video you like and add overlay text with your controversial opinions that challenge popular ideas.

Something like:

PROPAGANDA I’M NOT FALLING FOR:

  • "Only sugarless black coffee is ~real~ coffee."

  • "You need 15 steps in your skincare routine."

  • “Monochrome minimalism is the only way to live.”

  • "Your soul dies at 30—time to abandon ‘childish’ hobbies."

  • "You have to wake up at 4 AM to be successful."

  • "Reading books is boring."

Some of these might be controversial, some might be trivial, but they’re all opinions some will never bend on. What about you? What’s the propaganda you refuse to accept?

Stand with your opinions, Stay authentic.

Examples: Beautyganda, Propaganda2, My hill, Propaganda4.
