TikTok Trends: June
AI is taking over the content marketing industry.
(Scratch that, AI is taking over every industry.)
But what content will audiences actually trust?
This is the question that brands and creators need to be addressing right now.
Without trust, it doesn’t matter how big your audience is - your campaign will fall flat.
Face-to-face, authentic experiences, and storytelling moments need to be at the center of your content structure.
Enter: the Butter example to show us the way.
Kerrygold butter took Katie of @babytamago on a trip to Ireland - and her TikTok of the trip garnered over 1M views.
Try watching this and not immediately wanting Kerrygold butter in your mouth.
A major win for the brand.
And after this, Katie was asked by leaders in the space:
“Were you paid to go or post?”
Her response?
“Nope. Not paid. Not required.”
These days, creators need you to know:
I’m not just here to cash a check.
I actually am here for YOU.
I am deeply connected to my work and story.
Because more than ever, audiences can sniff out what’s fake.
The staying power of the influencer economy boom will only be possible with creators who feel authentic, not transactional.
So how can YOU apply this?
Whether you’re pitching brands, landing UGC gigs, or just starting to post with intention, here’s what to keep in mind:
1. Build trust from the start.
That means disclosing clearly, yes—but also sharing products you actually use, love, or would buy with your own money. Trust builds longevity.
2. You don’t have to fake the glam.
You don’t need a curated kitchen or a perfectly lit nursery to be compelling. What your audience craves? Someone they’d text for a rec. That’s you.
3. Say no when it doesn’t align.
Even if the money’s tempting. Even if you feel like you “should.” Every partnership shapes how people see you. Build the kind of brand that says, “She only shares what she really believes in.”
4. Show up like the future Cannes Lion guest you are.
Cannes Lions happened last week—the Super Bowl of global creativity. The creators who attended (like Reesa Teesa!) earned it with content that feels real, relevant, and trusted.
Let that sink in…
you could be the mom in your car filming a review after school pickup… and one day end up on the Croisette.
Manifesting this for us.
On to the content prompts and trends for the week!
My S/O Wants To Show You
TikTok has blessed us with a new adorable trend: the internet's way of saying, "Protect your partner's joy at all costs."
It all started when @yearningyardies posted a video of herself fiercely defending her boyfriend’s right to show off his plant collection. Cue her staring into the camera and saying:
"My boyfriend wants to show you his plants, and you BETTER say they're cool."
Then, her boyfriend steps in, beaming with pride as he introduces his leafy babies.
Now, couples everywhere are following suit, demanding that the internet appreciate their partners' very specific obsessions, whether it's Legos, sneakers, golf clubs, or even brushes (no judgment here).
Do you have a partner with a passion? A best friend who collects unusual things?
Here’s your script:
Start strong. Get close to the camera and channel your inner hype bodyguard.
Lay down the law: "My friend is about to show you their hobby, and you will hype them up."
Hand over the mic and let them nerd out while you smile proudly in the background.
Now go forth and HYPE YOUR PERSON.
Examples: Plants, Tools, Pokemon Cards, Soap, Brushes, Set up, Workout gear, Hot wheels.
