TikTok Trends: July
I have to be honest with you.
I have not been showing up authentic on social.
I have barely been showing up at all.
The truth is I have been dealing with a lot emotionally, that I wanted and needed to process internally versus externally.
It was against my values to share everything I was going through publicly.
And because my mind was busy internally processing, I was just bringing glimmers of myself to the public, not the whole thing.
I think that’s human.
And even though my professional life is built on social media, I exist outside of it, too.
And that’s okay.
I’m really grateful to my team who kept building on my brand and cheering me on….
I’m really grateful to batch creation and B-roll…
both necessary to keep on track because social is my business.
And business isn’t exactly human.
It has to keep going even when you can’t.
This is why I fully believe social media is more than a one person job.
Even lifestyle influencers have teams, photographers, videographers, admin support.
And so if you are doing this on your own,
and something in you isn’t feeling like you want to share.
It’s okay to honor that.
I can share this only now, because I am on the other side of it.
Just this week I made a breakthrough and felt ready to use my voice again.
And it feels amazing.
See you on the ‘gram.

Listen up, fellow imperfect humans and millennial/Gen Z mums! Love Island's Amaya just gave us the audio to own our beautifully imperfect lives.
"I never said I was perfect. I never said I didn't have any flaws."
Translation: "Yes, I ignored your text for three days because I was tired. Yes, I had a caramel macchiato for breakfast because I've got no time to lose. Judge me."
Some content ideas:
"Me finally responding to a text I mentally replied to last week"
"When my bestie side-eyes my 10-minute voice note"
"My ‘quick’ Target run vs. the 4-hour reality show it became"
Show some imperfect motherly moments or show your brand's human side (because nobody's perfect).
Show your team's real vibe, including coffee spills and autocorrect fails.
Examples: Work, Minor Inconvenience, Matcha latte, Husband, Gentle reminder, Mean, IG Audio
