Social Media Trend June 2026

One of my least favorite social media trends right now is using AI to create content.

Not because AI is evil. I use AI all the time.

But I think a lot of people are outsourcing the wrong thing.

Social media should be an exercise in learning how to communicate your ideas.

It’s where you develop your voice, practice storytelling, and figure out what you actually think.

When AI does all the writing, you’re skipping the reps.

And just like going to the gym, someone else can’t build the muscle for you.

The irony is that the more AI-generated content floods our feeds, the more valuable original thinking becomes.

The people who stand out won’t be the ones who can generate the most content.

They’ll be the ones with the strongest point of view, the best stories, and the clearest voice.

On the flip side, one thing I’m seeing work better than ever is series content.

The algorithm is getting increasingly niche-driven, and audiences want to know what to expect from you.

Whether it’s a specific topic, format, or style, being known for something matters.

In fact, a creator with over a million TikTok followers recently told me that when something goes viral, the key to gaining followers isn’t trying something new.

It’s making more content just like it.

That advice sounds simple, but so many creators and brands miss it.

They get bored or pivot before their audience has fully connected the dots.

I think we’re entering an era where we’ll see hundreds of new thought leaders emerge around incredibly specific interests and expertise..

The creators who win will be the most consistently showing up with value for their audience and recognizable

Maybe you’ll be the next star of our feeds! :)

Social Trend of the Week

The "Rush Hour" trend is everywhere on TikTok and Instagram right now, and is as hilarious as cinematic and nostalgic. If you haven’t seen it yet, people are lip-syncing to a scene from the classic 1998 film starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan.

The whole concept is super simple. One person aggressively lip-syncs the audio line, "Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?" while the other person just stands there looking completely blank and confused.

People are doing it with their friends, partners, or even coworkers to capture that chaotic energy. If you want to post something goofy this week, it’s a super fun trend to jump on.

Examples: IG, TikTok, TikTok2,TikTok 3, TikTok 4, Doggo.
