Mood RN: the marathon of October is over!
This month really tested my ability to be five places in once, show up for the business, my family, and on social media.
My daughter turned 11, and the marathon of events and happenings concluded with her birthday party.
Children’s birthdays always put us in our feels... don’t they?
Her big gift? An iPad of her own.
We played a game of “What do you Meme: Family Edition”
What really got me was my daughter explaining to Grandma that the crafting video they were watching was “definitely AI.”
In a world where our kids grow up with Apple, Amazon, Meta and TikTok… social media and AI literacy are the topic of conversations happening around the dinner table... and complex enough to be a college course.
Local election candidates are even campaigning on the issues of regulating AI, breaking up tech monopolies, or the building of more data centers.
My kid knows I work making Silly Little Social media videos, and her first task on her new iPad was to use iMovie to make a dramatic cinematic trailer with her bestie and teddy bear.
So as the month and November 4th comes around, I am thinking about my tween and our future together.
How technology has changed so much, and at its core remains the same - a way to connect people.
And how I can contribute to building a world that would make us both proud.
XO,
Lindsay
