Musings + Social Media Trends: Fourth Week of August 2026
Hi friend!
Our 30-day Chaos to Content challenge ended this week, and I'm sitting here scrolling through the results with the biggest smile on my face. But first, a life update:
I took my daughter back-to-school shopping this week and ended up buying myself pants from Charlotte Russe. HAHA. What can I say? They were cute, fun, and cheap. Some things from the 90s really are worth bringing back.
Okay. Now the good stuff.
For 30 days, our members showed up. Prep week, posting weeks, live sessions, all of it. And the receipts are in. Across just four of the insights screenshots members shared, the last 30 days added up to:
Over 2 MILLION combined views. Over 2,100 new followers. Nearly 66,000 interactions.
One member's reel run pulled over 1 million views this month, with 98.5% of viewers being non-followers. That's strangers finding her. That's the Attract stage of the funnel doing exactly what we designed it to do. Another gained 1,883 followers in 30 days. Another had nearly 80% non-follower reach for the first time.
These aren't influencers with teams behind them. These are moms who committed to a strategy and stuck to their race.
Huge shoutout to the members who hit their consistency goals: Jaclyn, Christie, Valerie, Amaris, Sammy, Karissa, Meg, Caitlyn, and Holly. You DID that.
Don't take my word for how it felt. Here's what they said as we closed out:
"This was the challenge that I needed. Thank you Lindsay!! Summers are pretty crazy here and I usually give up and start all over. It feels good that I didn't and I'm excited to see where all this work grows." — Amaris
"This has been so fun and instructive… I love having a core story to center on. It's so grounding! I'll def keep a lot of these strategies going even after we close out. This was so valuable. ESPECIALLY the prep week Lindsay. Huge." — Jaclyn
"I can't believe how consistent I was in posting. This challenge was SO helpful in getting clear on WHO I'm creating content for along with how I can stay consistent with driving home those main messages. I actually had someone message me saying that they can see more of my 'personality and sass' coming through… This group and challenge is amazing!" — Karissa
"Can't believe it's already been a month!! So grateful for all that I learned and for being on this authentic journey with you all." — Christie
"Omg this is wild we are already done! I swear with all the hooks and planning I will still be using them for the next 2 months! You are amazing Lindsay." — Caitlyn
Someone literally received a DM that her "personality and sass" was finally coming through. That's what happens when you stop copying templates and start telling your own story.
And here's the part that got me a little emotional this week…
The foundation for our new house was poured.
The same week the challenge ended, the ground where my first house came down became the base of something new. And I keep thinking: sometimes things have to be knocked down to be reborn better.
That's what these 30 days were for our members. Old habits torn down. Scattered posting, copied templates, creating from a place of chaos… demolished. And in its place: a vision, a strategy, a story, and a community holding you accountable to all three.
The challenge is over, but this is what happens inside the Authentic Creators Network all year long.
If you watched this one from the sidelines, don't watch the next one.
Come build your foundation with us.
XO, Lindsay
Social Trend of the Week
Sh*t I Don’t Care About
As we grow, we start realizing some things just aren’t worth it. There are old rules and mindsets we don’t follow anymore, mostly because we’ve lived enough to know they don’t vibe with us.
This trend is all about the things you’ve stopped caring about because you finally saw they were BS.
Examples: Validation, List, Mom, IDC.
