TikTok Trends: June
This season of the Silly Little Social podcast I have focused on getting influencers with large followings to come on as guests.
Why?
Because I believe learning from those who have done what you want to do is a great way to fast track your own success.
I want to serve this community and I know many of you would love to achieve a high follower count…
like Zach at 437k…
or Tara with a whopping 791k…
or Emily who quickly grew to 114k over the last two years. ( Her episode is linked below!)
As I have spoken to these content creators, a few things have come up as themes:
They each monetize their following in other ways besides just brand deals.
They are just like us - stressed about algorithm changes and annoyed by hitting a plateau in follower growth.
They know which pieces have worked for them, and often recreate and repeat the themes.
Most importantly, they share how they got there in our conversations and I find their success super inspiring.
Did you know that only 23% of Instagram accounts have 10k followers or more?
So give yourself a pat on the back if you’re there!
And if you’re not, just remember you’re trying to accomplish something very few do.
Beyond that, less than 5% of IG accounts have 100k+ followers!
Follower count isn’t everything, but it is definitely valuable to build an audience of these sizes.
What follower count would you like to achieve by the end of the year?
Set a goal and go back to your Insights over the last 6 months and sort your content by Follower growth.
Look for themes, hooks, styles etc that you can repeat.
We’re just half way through the year - plenty of time to make great content and a follow-worthy profile.

Lindsay
If You Ever Think About Me
This quiet little trend is really taking off right now, no dances or crazy edits, just real vibes.
How it works:
People post a still image or carousel (usually a candid photo or selfie) with text listing:
Their weird little quirks, such as "eating cold pizza for breakfast" or "rewatching The Office for the 14th time."
Random habits ("checking the door is locked three times," "singing in the shower like I’m on Broadway")
Tiny loves ("the smell of old books," "when my coffee is just the right temperature")
Then, they hit you with the emotional closer:
"If you ever think about me, I hope you remember this."
This trend It's super relatable because it's all about the little things we never talk about, but we all do them.
It's nostalgic AF and makes people say, "OMG, yes! That's so me!"
It's easy to do, and no fancy editing skills are needed.
Example: EX1, Emily, Madelyn, Avax, IG audio.
